Chandelure Weakness
Water, Ground, Rock, Ghost, and Dark moves hit Chandelure for super-effective damage. The upside? Normal and Fighting-type moves can't touch it at all. 6 resistances give it solid defensive coverage on top of that. Flash Fire grants an additional Fire immunity, reshaping the matchup chart.
| Damage | Types |

| 2x (Weak) | Water, Ground, Rock, Ghost, Dark |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Fire, Grass, Ice, Poison, Steel |
| 0.25x (Resist) | Bug |
| 0x (Immune) | Normal, Fighting |
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)

Chandelure Evolutions
Chandelure doesn't evolve through normal leveling. You'll need an evolution item to get here from Litwick's line. Breed this form to get Litwick eggs (average hatch time). Evolving from Litwick gave Chandelure the biggest boost in Sp.Atk (+80), bringing the total to 520 stats. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Breeding
Breed with Chandelure to get Litwick eggs easily using 45 partners from the Indeterminate egg group. Notable egg moves include Acid, Acid Armor, Captivate and 4 more.
B2W2 Chandelure Best Moveset
145 Sp. Atk is one of the highest in the entire game, and Ghost/Fire TermStab covers types that almost nothing resists together. AbilityFlash Fire absorbs Fire for a power boost on top of the massive base. Opponents need a specially defensive Water or Dark type ready because the moveset one-shots most targets.

Moves List
Don't skip the egg moves. Chandelure picks up Acid and Acid Armor only through breeding, and both fill gaps the natural movepool can't. STAB runs through Overheat and Fire Blast while Poison and Psychic coverage and more adds range.

Chandelure Black 2 & White 2 Guide
In Black 2 & White 2, Don't let Chandelure's 520 base stat total fool you. Flash Fire is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it B-Tier as a cannon. Shadow Ball with Choice Scarf is the standard set.
In Black 2 & White 2, watch for Starmie (Water), Excadrill (Ground), and Aerodactyl (Rock) when using Chandelure. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Ghost and Dark-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
In Black 2 & White 2, Run Flash Fire on Chandelure. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Chandelure also gets Flame Body and Infiltrator, but they don't compare.
In Black 2 & White 2, Chandelure fills the cannon role. It's a special attacker with base 145 Sp. Atk. Base 80 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
In Black 2 & White 2, run Shadow Ball, Energy Ball, Flamethrower, and Trick on Chandelure. Shadow Ball is the most common pick at 0% usage. Flamethrower provides reliable STAB damage.
Game Availability
Introduced in Black & White, Chandelure has appeared in 9 games across 6 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
