How this League of Legends database stays current

Everything on this page runs off one pipeline. Win and pick rates come from ranked games on the live patch, and the tier list reads the same aggregates as every build and counter page. Numbers here can't drift apart; they share a source.

Where to start depends on what you already know

No champion in mind yet? Open the tier list and pick from the top. Already set on someone? Their build page has the runes, items and skill order, and the counter page shows the lanes that punish the pick. Shopping for one slot is what the item database is for.

What the tier list will not do for you

A ranking sorts champions; it does not play your lane. The board reads the whole ladder at once, so a pick that dominates one bracket can stall in yours, and a champion you know cold will beat a stronger one you have never touched. Treat the tiers as a shortlist, then let the matchup and your own comfort settle the lock.
