Whimsicott Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Guide
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Prankster changes the entire equation for Whimsicott. The 480 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as a pivot. Memento with Focus Sash is the standard set.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, watch for Roserade (Poison), Blaziken (Fire), and Weavile (Ice) when using Whimsicott. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Roserade is the most dangerous since Poison moves deal 4x damage. Flying and Steel-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
Prankster is what you want on Whimsicott. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Infiltrator, Chlorophyll) work on paper but Prankster is what makes Whimsicott worth using.
Base 116 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Whimsicott is a mixed attacker with base 67 Attack and 77 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a pivot.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, run Memento, Trickroom, Taunt, and Defog on Whimsicott. Memento is the most common pick at 0% usage. This set covers the pivot role with a mix of damage and utility.
