Base Stats
To attack, this Pokémon sends toxic spikes flying at its enemies. Ones that come close get mown down by the claws on its feet.
With its 12 legs, it creates a dome to shelter within. The flow of the tides doesn’t affect Toxapex in there, so it’s very comfortable.
Toxapex Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Guide
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Regenerator changes the entire equation for Toxapex. The 495 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked A-Tier as a support. Recover with Black Sludge is the standard set.
Regenerator is what you want on Toxapex. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Merciless, Limber) work on paper but Regenerator is what makes Toxapex worth using.
Base 35 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Toxapex is a special attacker with base 53 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a support.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, the best way to handle Toxapex: Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Electric, Ground, and Psychic-type attackers hit hardest.
Game Availability
Toxapex joined the series in Sun & Moon and has been available in 5 titles so far. With 4 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
