Stats & Training
Defense leads and Speed gets almost nothing. That's Registeel's stat line in a nutshell. 3 stats sit in respectable range, but the spread is brutal. Near-impossible to catch and yields 3 Defense and Sp. Def EVs.

Registeel Weakness
Registeel's Steel typing leaves it vulnerable to Fire, Fighting, and Ground. It shrugs off Poison-type attacks completely. With 11 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Registeel's overall bulk (80/150/150) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.

Registeel Guide
For the FireRed & LeafGreen meta, At 580 BST, Registeel is built different. We rank it B-Tier. As a Legendary Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as a wall. Thunder Wave with Leftovers is the standard set.
Clear Body prevents stats from being lowered by other Pokémon. That's the one you want on Registeel. Light Metal is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Registeel is a physical attacker with base 75 Attack. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a wall.
In FireRed & LeafGreen, run Thunder Wave, Explosion, Seismic Toss, and Counter on Registeel. Thunder Wave is the most common pick at 21% usage. This set covers the wall role with a mix of damage and utility.
