Breaking through Registeel usually means hitting the special side — 50 base Speed is the obvious weak point. Poison moves can't touch it, and only 3 types hit it super-effectively. Known as the Iron Pokemon. Introduced in Gen 3.
Defense leads and Speed gets almost nothing. That's Registeel's stat line in a nutshell. 3 stats sit in respectable range, but the spread is brutal. Near-impossible to catch and yields 3 Defense and Sp. Def EVs.
Its body is harder than any other kind of metal. The body metal is composed of a mysterious substance. Not only is it hard, it shrinks and stretches flexibly.
Registeel Weakness
ExcellentRegisteel's Steel typing leaves it vulnerable to Fire, Fighting, and Ground moves. It shrugs off Poison-type attacks completely. With 11 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Registeel's overall bulk (80/150/150) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.
- Dark and Steel types added — Fairy does not exist yet
- Moves are Physical or Special based on type, not per move
You can't breed Registeel or evolve it into anything else. This Steel legendary packs 580 stats and doesn't need a chain to be relevant.
How to Evolve
Leftovers and Clearbody form the backbone. Registeel invests HP-heavy investment EVs to play its defensive wall role properly, and Careful nature pushes Sp. Def higher. Thunder Wave handles the heavy lifting on offense. Normal and Fighting coverage rounds it out.

At 580 BST, Registeel is built different. We rank it B-Tier. As a Legendary Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as a wall.
Registeel doesn't evolve. As a Legendary Pokemon, it stands on its own without an evolutionary line. It's a Steel type with 580 BST.
Clear Body prevents stats from being lowered by other Pokémon — that's the one you want on Registeel. Light Metal is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Registeel is a physical attacker with base 75 Attack. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a wall.
