That 4x Grass weakness is something every Omastar user needs to plan around. Known as the Spiral Pokemon. The stat spread leans into special offense.
Defense and Sp. Atk carry most of Omastar's stat budget. Speed's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 2 Defense stat exp. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Its heavy shell allowed it to reach only nearby food. This could be the reason it is extinct.
Omastar Weakness
VulnerableOmastar's Rock/Water typing leaves it vulnerable to Grass, Electric, Fighting, and Ground moves. Grass hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. 5 resistances help offset the weaknesses. Omastar's physical bulk (base 125 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.
- Dark and Steel types added — Fairy does not exist yet
- Moves are Physical or Special based on type, not per move
- Special stat split into Sp.Atk and Sp.Def
Evolved from Omanyte. Omastar is the final form in this two-stage line. A decent partner pool for breeding via two egg groups. Eggs are slow to hatch. HP grew the most through evolution (+35 over Omanyte), and Omastar peaks at 495 total stats.
