Stats & Training
The stat budget goes to damage. Attack and Speed carry the offense, HP doesn't even come close. A Martial Arts Pokemon on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve, worth 1 Attack EV per KO.
In one minute, a well-trained Mienfoo can chop with its arms more than 100 times.
Though small, Mienfoo’s temperament is fierce. Any creature that approaches Mienfoo carelessly will be greeted with a flurry of graceful attacks.

Sword & Shield Evolution
One evolution ahead. Mienfoo grows into Mienshao through a straightforward two-stage chain. A massive partner pool for breeding via two egg groups. Eggs are average hatch time. The evolved forms gain up to 160 total stats over Mienfoo. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.

Sword & Shield Mienfoo Best Moveset
The 50% bulk from Eviolite is no joke. Mienfoo takes hits that fully evolved Pokemon can't, especially with spread EVs pushing the fast physical side. High Jump Kick gives it offensive presence.

Sword & Shield Mienfoo Locations
Mienfoo is available from early-game routes onward at high spawn rates. 36 encounter spots give you plenty of options. Grab one early and it'll be ready to evolve or train by mid-game.
Best Locations to Catch Mienfoo in Sword & Shield
Mienfoo's encounter pool splits between Shield and Sword. You've got 36 walking spots at Lv. 10-24 total, but your version determines which ones actually show up.
Mienfoo Guide
Mienfoo is meant to evolve into Mienshao. At 350 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.
Regenerator is what you want on Mienfoo. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Inner Focus, Reckless) work on paper but Regenerator is what makes Mienfoo worth using.
At base 65 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Mienfoo is a physical attacker with base 85 Attack. Defensively? Fragile, can't afford to take many hits.
For Sword & Shield, you can run Mienfoo through the first few routes without issues. 350 BST won't carry you far though. Get it to Mienshao as fast as you can.
Game Availability
Mienfoo joined the series in Black & White and has been available in 8 titles so far. With 6 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
