While most trainers evolve Mienfoo into Mienshao immediately, the unevolved form has a niche with Eviolite boosting its defenses. Only weak to Flying, Psychic, and Fairy. Known as the Martial Arts Pokemon. The stat spread favors raw physical power.
The stat budget goes to damage. Attack and Speed carry the offense, HP doesn't even come close. A Martial Arts Pokemon on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve, worth 1 Attack EV per KO.
In one minute, a well-trained Mienfoo can chop with its arms more than 100 times.
Though small, Mienfoo’s temperament is fierce. Any creature that approaches Mienfoo carelessly will be greeted with a flurry of graceful attacks.
Mienfoo Weakness
AvgMienfoo's Fighting typing leaves it vulnerable to Flying, Psychic, and Fairy moves. Standard number of weaknesses for the Fighting typing.
One evolution ahead. Mienfoo grows into Mienshao through a straightforward two-stage chain. No compatible partners for breeding via two egg groups. Eggs are average hatch time. The evolved forms gain up to 160 total stats over Mienfoo.
How to Evolve
Breed Mienfoo easily from the Ground and Humanshape egg groups. Pass egg moves like Ally Switch, Baton Pass, Endure and 6 more to offspring.
One guaranteed turn is all Mienfoo needs. Focus Sash buys it, max HP and Attack EVs make it count, and Reckless adds something extra. The goal: deal early damage and deal damage with Fakeout. The remaining moves gives it play beyond just the lead turn.

Regenerator is what you want on Mienfoo. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Inner Focus, Reckless) work on paper but Regenerator is what makes Mienfoo worth using.
At base 65 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Mienfoo is a physical attacker with base 85 Attack. Defensively? Fragile — can't afford to take many hits.
