Kyurem Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Guide
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Kyurem is a Legendary Pokemon rated B-Tier. At 660 BST, it hits hard. It excels as a support. Ice Beam with Leftovers is the standard set.
Kyurem is a static encounter at Alola Ultra Space Wilds in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon. Kyurem appears at level 60. Prerequisite: LIMITED; Reshiram & Zekrom in party. Save before the encounter. These one-shot Pokemon don't respawn if you knock them out or run out of Poke Balls.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Kyurem's biggest threats include Hitmonlee (Fighting), Tyranitar (Rock), and Garchomp (Dragon), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Steel and Fairy-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. Kyurem has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
Pressure is the go-to ability for Kyurem. It increases the PP cost of moves targetting the Pokémon by one. It's Kyurem's only ability.
Base 95 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Kyurem is a special attacker with base 130 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a support.
Game Availability
