It skulks in caves, and when prey or an enemy passes by, it leaps out and chomps them. The force of its attack sometimes chips its teeth.

Gible's Dragon/Ground typing leaves it vulnerable to Ice, Dragon, and Fairy. Ice hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It shrugs off Electric-type attacks completely.

The level-up pool is slim, so TMs matter here. Gible's coverage across 7 types all comes from technical machines, built on top of Draco Meteor and Outrage for same-type damage. Take Down and Dragon Rush are the payoff moves.

  • Gabite at level 24 is the mid-stage. Push through to Garchomp at level 48 for the final form. 300 BST right now won't cut it long-term.

  • Level 24 gets you Gabite. Not the fastest evolution, so consider Exp. Share or route grinding to speed it up.

  • For a casual playthrough, Gible works as a placeholder. Dragon/Ground coverage is useful early. The real payoff is Gabite. That's where the stats start mattering.

  • Across 14 games, Gible has solid availability. First showed up in Legends: Z-A. The latest games to include it are Platinum and HeartGold & SoulSilver.

Debuting in Diamond & Pearl, Gible appears in 14 games across 7 generations. A reliable presence in a solid number of games, typically found through catching or hatching as a base form.
