Stats & Training
Sp. Atk and Speed carry most of Cherrim's stat budget. Attack's the obvious dump stat. Moderately hard to find and yields 2 Sp. Atk EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
During times of strong sunlight, its bud blooms, its petals open fully, and it becomes very active.
If it senses strong sunlight, it opens its folded petals to absorb the sun’s rays with its whole body.
Cherrim Weakness
Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, and Bug moves hit Cherrim for super-effective damage. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. 5 weaknesses means you'll want teammates that can handle the coverage gaps.

How to Get Cherrim in X & Y
Cherrim Guide
For X & Y, we rate Cherrim C-Tier: a niche pick in X & Y's meta. At 450 BST, the stats are spread pretty evenly. Solarbeam with Leftovers is the standard set.
Flower Gift increases friendly Pokémon's Attack and Special Defense to 1.5× during strong sunlight. That's the one you want on Cherrim. It's the only ability Cherrim has.
Base 85 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Cherrim is leaning toward the special side (base 87 Sp. Atk). Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two.
In X & Y, run Solarbeam, Helpinghand, Protect, and Substitute on Cherrim. Solarbeam is the most common pick at 25% usage. This set covers the balanced role with a mix of damage and utility.
Game Availability
Available in 12 titles since its debut in Diamond & Pearl, Cherrim spans 7 generations of Pokemon games. It's accessible through wild encounters in a solid number of games.
