Stats & Training
Sp. Atk and Speed carry most of Cherrim's stat budget. Attack's the obvious dump stat. Moderately hard to find and yields 2 Sp. Atk EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
During times of strong sunlight, its bud blooms, its petals open fully, and it becomes very active.

Cherrim Guide
For HeartGold & SoulSilver, we rate Cherrim C-Tier: a niche pick in HeartGold & SoulSilver's meta. At 450 BST, the stats are spread pretty evenly. Sunnyday with Life Orb is the standard set.
Flower Gift increases friendly Pokémon's Attack and Special Defense to 1.5× during strong sunlight. That's the one you want on Cherrim. It's the only ability Cherrim has.
Base 85 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Cherrim is leaning toward the special side (base 87 Sp. Atk). Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two.
For HeartGold & SoulSilver, Cherrim has answers, but so do you. Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Fire, Ice, and Poison-type attackers hit hardest.
Game Availability
