No wild encounters for Cherrim in Black 2 & White 2. Bring Cherubi over from Diamond or Platinum, then level through the stages. Each step in the chain is laid out below.

How to Obtain Cherrim in Black 2 & White 2

  1. Cherubi
    Step 1Obtain Cherubi

  • We rate Cherrim C-Tier — a situational pick that fills a niche. At 450 BST, the stats are spread pretty evenly.

  • Watch for Arcanine (Fire), Walrein (Ice), and Roserade (Poison) when using Cherrim. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Flying and Bug-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.

  • Cherubi evolves into Cherrim at level 25. Cherrim is the fully evolved form. It sits at 450 BST in its evolved form.

  • Flower Gift increases friendly Pokémon's Attack and Special Defense to 1.5× during strong sunlight — that's the one you want on Cherrim. It's the only ability Cherrim has.

  • Base 85 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Cherrim is a physical attacker with base 60 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two.

  • Cherrim appears in 12 games, including Platinum, HeartGold & SoulSilver, and Diamond & Pearl.

Available in 12 titles since its debut in Diamond & Pearl, Cherrim spans 6 generations of Pokemon games. It's accessible through wild encounters in a solid number of games.
