In ages past, this Pokémon was revered as a bringer of rain. It was found buried in the ground.
It brought rains by opening portals to another world. It was revered as a bringer of plentiful harvests.
Bronzong Weakness
Fire, Ground, Ghost, and Dark moves hit Bronzong for super-effective damage. The upside? Poison-type moves can't touch it at all. It resists 9 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely. Levitate grants an additional Ground immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Bronzong's overall bulk (67/116/116) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.

Bronzong Guide
In Scarlet & Violet, Bronzong looks average on paper at 500 BST. But Levitate is why it sees play. Build around that and it pulls its weight. A-Tier trick room on our tier list. Bodypress with Leftovers is the standard set.
In Scarlet & Violet, watch for Arcanine (Fire), Swampert (Ground), and Misdreavus (Ghost) when using Bronzong. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Dark-type attackers are also a problem. At base 33 Speed, Bronzong won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
Bronzong gets Levitate, Heatproof, and Heavy Metal. But Levitate is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
Bronzong is a mixed attacker with base 89 Attack and 79 Sp. Atk. Tanky enough to absorb a few hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 33 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. Fits the trick room role.
For Scarlet & Violet, Bronzong has answers, but so do you. Super-effective STAB from faster Pokemon is the simplest answer. Fire, Ground, and Ghost-type attackers hit hardest.
