Slow is good when Trick Room is up, and Bronzong is about as slow as they come. Steel/Psychic typing gives it a defined role on the team. Levitate gives it a Ground immunity. Poison moves can't touch it, which offsets the 4 weaknesses somewhat.
The stat bars tell the story: Defense carries everything and Speed's dead weight. But this Bronze Bell Pokemon still yields 2 Defense and Sp. Def EVs per fight on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
In ages past, this Pokémon was revered as a bringer of rain. It was found buried in the ground.
It brought rains by opening portals to another world. It was revered as a bringer of plentiful harvests.
Bronzong Weakness
GoodFire, Ground, Ghost, and Dark-type moves hit Bronzong for super-effective damage. The upside? Poison-type moves can't touch it at all. It resists 9 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely. Levitate grants an additional Ground immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Bronzong's overall bulk (67/116/116) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.
Bronzong is what Bronzor becomes. Breed it for Bronzor eggs (average hatch time). No compatible partners for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. The evolution from Bronzor pushed Bronzong to 500 total stats. Attack saw the largest single gain at +65.
How to Evolve
Breed with Bronzong to get Bronzor eggs (with patience) from the Mineral egg group.
Lead with Bronzong, set Stealth Rock, and keep pressure on. Levitate and Psychiumz buy the time it needs, with HP-heavy investment EVs letting it take hits while controlling the hazard game.

Bronzong isn't available in the wild in Sun & Moon. Start by transferring Bronzor from Diamond, Platinum, or HeartGold. The evolution path from Bronzor to Bronzong is covered in the steps below.
Bronzong looks average on paper at 500 BST. But Levitate is why it sees play — build around that and it pulls its weight. C-Tier trick room on our tier list.
Watch for Arcanine (Fire), Swampert (Ground), and Misdreavus (Ghost) when using Bronzong. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Dark-type attackers are also a problem. At base 33 Speed, Bronzong won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
Bronzor evolves into Bronzong at level 33. Bronzong is the fully evolved form. At 500 BST, it's got solid stats to work with.
Bronzong gets Levitate, Heatproof, and Heavy Metal. But Levitate is the one that matters — it's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
Bronzong is a physical attacker with base 89 Attack. Tanky enough to absorb a few hits, too. But the speed tells the real story — base 33 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. Fits the trick room role.
Bronzong appears in 13 games, including Platinum, HeartGold & SoulSilver, and Diamond & Pearl.
Debuting in Diamond & Pearl, Bronzong appears in 13 games across 6 generations. A reliable presence in a solid number of games, typically found through wild encounters.
