Mid-stage Pokemon like Abra rarely see competitive play outside of special formats. It's a waypoint on the road to Alakazam, which is where the real potential kicks in. Only weak to Bug, Ghost, and Dark. Known as the Psi Pokemon.
Abra's all-in on Sp. Atk at the expense of Defense. The special lean is obvious from the bars. Yields 1 Sp. Atk EV and follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
It hypnotizes itself so that it can teleport away when it senses danger, even if it is asleep.
Abra Weakness
VulnerableAbra's Psychic typing leaves it vulnerable to Bug, Ghost, and Dark moves. Abra's special bulk (base 55 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

Abra is the start of a three-stage chain. It evolves into Kadabra first, then eventually reaches Alakazam. For breeding, average hatch time with a small partner pool via one egg group. The evolved forms gain up to 190 total stats over Abra.
How to Evolve
Breed Abra easily with 15 breeding partners from the Humanshape egg group. Pass egg moves like Barrier, Encore, Light Screen to offspring.
