Tropius Weakness
Ice, Fire, Poison, Flying, and Rock moves hit Tropius for super-effective damage. Ice hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. The upside? Ground-type moves can't touch it at all.

How to Evolve
WW Tropius Best Moveset
A 50% chance to regrow a consumed Berry each turn through AbilityHarvest, and with Held ItemSitrus Berry that means repeatable healing on a Grass/Flying type. Six generations near the bottom prove the trick isn't enough. This moveset goes NatureCalm with Grass-type moves and recovery loops.

Base Stats
Tropius's spread favors balanced defenses over offense. HP leads the defensive side, Speed eats the cost. Yields 2 HP EVs per defeat. Slow 1.25M XP grind to level.
Tropius Winds & Waves Guide
In Winds & Waves, Don't let Tropius's 460 base stat total fool you. Chlorophyll is what makes it tick. It punches way above its weight class. We rate it D-Tier. Substitute with Sitrus Berry is the standard set.
In Winds & Waves, watch for Lapras (Ice), Charizard (Fire), and Nidoking (Poison) when using Tropius. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Lapras is the most dangerous since Ice moves deal 4x damage. Flying and Rock-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
In Winds & Waves, Run Chlorophyll on Tropius. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Tropius also gets Solar Power and Harvest, but they don't compare.
In Winds & Waves, Tropius fills the balanced role. It's a special attacker with base 72 Sp. Atk. At base 51 Speed, it won't be moving first often. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
In Winds & Waves, run Substitute, Leech Seed, Protect, and Curse on Tropius. Substitute is the most common pick at 0% usage. Curse lets it set up before sweeping.
