Stats & Training
The stat budget goes to damage. Attack and Sp. Atk carry the offense, Defense doesn't even come close. A Toxic Mouth Pokemon on a medium-fast 1M XP curve, worth 2 Attack EVs per KO.
Swaying and dodging the attacks of its foes, it weaves its flexible body in close, then lunges out with its poisonous claws.
It has a poison sac at its throat. When it croaks, the stored poison is churned for greater potency.
Toxicroak Weakness
Type-wise, Toxicroak takes extra damage from Psychic, Ground, and Flying. Watch out for Psychic attacks, those deal 4x damage. With 6 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Dry Skin grants an additional Water immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Toxicroak leans offensive (base 106 Atk) rather than trying to tank its weaknesses.

Toxicroak Guide
In Scarlet & Violet, Dry Skin changes the entire equation for Toxicroak. The 490 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked C-Tier as an attacker. Sucker Punch with Life Orb is the standard set.
Dry Skin is what you want on Toxicroak. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Anticipation, Poison Touch) work on paper but Dry Skin is what makes Toxicroak worth using.
Base 85 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Toxicroak is a physical attacker with base 106 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as an attacker.
For Scarlet & Violet, the core moveset is Sucker Punch, Gunkshot, Swords Dance, and Close Combat. Sucker Punch leads at 16% usage. This set covers the attacker role with a mix of damage and utility.
