Bulk defines Spiritomb's stat line. Defense and Sp. Def anchor the defensive side, but Speed can't keep up offensively. Moderately hard to find and worth 2 Defense and Sp. Def EVs.
Its constant mischief and misdeeds resulted in it being bound to an Odd Keystone by a mysterious spell.
It was formed by uniting 108 spirits. It has been bound to the Odd Keystone to keep it from doing any mischief.
Type-wise, Spiritomb takes extra damage from Fairy. Normal, Fighting, and Psychic moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. With 50 HP and balanced defenses, Spiritomb can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Fairy |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Poison |

Spiritomb is what you get. No evolutions, but it breeds through one egg group with plenty of partners. Hatching is slow to hatch. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
One boost from Nasty Plot and Spiritomb gets dangerous fast. The Quiet nature targets max HP and Sp. Atk, and Infiltrator backs the whole approach. Dark Pulse and Psychic coverage handle most of what's left standing.

Moves
TMs carry this one. Spiritomb learns Poltergeist and Foul Play naturally for STAB, but the offensive range comes almost entirely from technical machines. Psychic and Normal and beyond give it real matchup play.

A solid spread overall. Spiritomb gets Dark Pulse and Shadow Ball for same-type damage alongside Psychic and Normal coverage and more. It won't blow anyone away, but it doesn't leave you stuck either.
The egg pool carries weight here. Destiny Bond and Disable aren't available any other way for Spiritomb, and they meaningfully change what it threatens. Stack those on top of Foul Play and Shadow Ball for solid options.

We rate Spiritomb B-Tier: a solid choice for the right team. At 485 BST, it fits the trick room role. Base 108 Defense stands out.
Spiritomb's biggest threats include Gardevoir (Fairy), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. At base 35 Speed, Spiritomb won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
Pressure is the go-to ability for Spiritomb. It increases the PP cost of moves targetting the Pokémon by one. Its hidden ability Infiltrator can work in specific setups.
Base 35 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Spiritomb is a special attacker with base 92 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a trick room.
The core moveset is Dark Pulse, Nasty Plot, Trickroom, and Psyshock. Dark Pulse leads at 17% usage. This set covers the trick room role with a mix of damage and utility.
Available in 13 titles since its debut in Diamond & Pearl, Spiritomb spans 7 generations of Pokemon games. It's accessible through wild encounters in a solid number of games.
