Under Trick Room, Reuniclus's terrible Speed becomes its best asset — it 'outspeeds' nearly everything when turns are reversed. And it hits hard enough to make that matter. Only weak to Bug, Ghost, and Dark. Known as the Multiplying Pokemon.

Reuniclus's spread is anchored by Sp. Atk, with balanced defenses backing it up. Speed is the clear weak point. Worth 3 Sp. Atk EVs per KO, and the 1.06M XP medium-slow curve keeps leveling painless.

While it could use its psychic abilities in battle, this Pokémon prefers to swing its powerful arms around to beat opponents into submission.

Sword

It’s said that drinking the liquid surrounding Reuniclus grants wisdom. Problem is, the liquid is highly toxic to anything besides Reuniclus itself.

Reuniclus Weakness

Vulnerable

Reuniclus's Psychic typing leaves it vulnerable to Bug, Ghost, and Dark moves. With 110 HP and balanced defenses, Reuniclus can afford to eat a neutral hit or two.

STAB runs through Future Sight and Psychic for the basics, but Reuniclus's real strength is the 10-type coverage spread. Normal and Fighting hit common defensive types, and the movepool keeps going.

A few locations for Reuniclus with moderate rates across endgame routes. The sort toggle below swaps between best odds and earliest access, so you can approach it based on where you are in the game.

Where To Catch Reuniclus in Sword & Shield

To get Reuniclus, start by catching Solosis through walking encounters at Lv. 28-65. The chain covers 3 catchable stages before reaching the final form.

  • Don't let Reuniclus's 490 base stat total fool you. Magic Guard is what makes it tick — it punches way above its weight class. We rate it B-Tier as a wallbreaker.

  • Watch for Scizor (Bug), Gengar (Ghost), and Houndoom (Dark) when using Reuniclus. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. At base 30 Speed, Reuniclus won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.

  • Duosion evolves into Reuniclus at level 41. Reuniclus is the final evolution in a 3-stage line starting from Solosis. At 490 BST, it's got solid stats to work with.

  • Run Magic Guard on Reuniclus. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Reuniclus also gets Overcoat and Regenerator, but they don't compare.

  • Reuniclus fills the wallbreaker role. It's a special attacker with base 125 Sp. Atk. Base 30 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.

  • Reuniclus appears in 8 games, including Black & White, Black 2 & White 2, and X & Y.

Introduced in Black & White, Reuniclus has appeared in 8 games across 5 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
