Team Flare Nouveau Griselle uses Metagross at level 60, and your Mega Metagross can outperform hers. Steel and Psychic coverage resists an enormous list of damage types while the Mega form's physical Attack hits on fast cooldowns. Available through Hyperspace at level 63 or evolved from the Beldum line. One of the strongest Pokemon in the endgame.

Metagross appears at moderate rates across 1 spots in endgame routes. Sort by Best below if you want the highest rate, or Earliest if you want the quickest access point in your playthrough.
Metagross Weakness
Metagross is weak to Fire, Ground, Ghost, and Dark. On the flip side, it's immune to Poison-type moves entirely. With 9 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Metagross's physical bulk (base 150 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

Metagross Legends: Z-A Guide
In Legends: Z-A, Tough Claws changes the entire equation for Metagross. The 700 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked B-Tier as a sweeper. Earthquake with Assault Vest is the standard set.
Mega Evolution isn't available in Legends: Z-A, but Metagross does have a Mega form in Gen 6-7 games (X/Y, ORAS, Sun/Moon). Mega Metagross hits 800 BST.
Tough Claws is what you want on Metagross. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. With base 110 Speed, Tough Claws gives Metagross an edge before opponents can react.
Base 110 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Metagross is a physical attacker with base 145 Attack. Defensively? Tanky enough to absorb a few hits. Best used as a sweeper.
Game Availability
