While most trainers evolve Litleo into Pyroar immediately, the unevolved form has a niche with Eviolite boosting its defenses. Ghost moves can't touch it, which offsets the 4 weaknesses somewhat. Needs some investment to avoid getting outsped. Known as the Lion Cub Pokemon.
An unusually even spread gives Litleo flexibility. Sp. Atk barely edges ahead. But Attack isn't far off. Easy to catch and follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve. Yields 1 Sp. Atk EV.
When Litleo are young, female Pyroar will teach them how to hunt. Once the Litleo mature, they will leave the pride and set out on their own.
The more a Litleo trains its body and spirit by battling mighty enemies, the hotter its mane will grow.
Litleo Weakness
GoodLitleo's Fire/Normal typing leaves it vulnerable to Water, Fighting, Ground, and Rock moves. It shrugs off Ghost-type attacks completely. With 6 resistances, the defensive profile is strong.
One evolution ahead. Litleo grows into Pyroar through a straightforward two-stage chain. No compatible partners for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. The evolved forms gain up to 138 total stats over Litleo.
How to Evolve
Breed Litleo from the Ground egg group.
Don't let the NFE status fool you. Litleo with Eviolite hits bulk numbers that compete with final forms. A spread EV build EVs and Naughty nature maximize that, and Moxie handles the rest.

Litleo is meant to evolve into Pyroar. At 369 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.
Litleo evolves into Pyroar at level 35. Litleo is the base form of this evolutionary line.
Rivalry increases damage inflicted to 1.25× against Pokémon of the same gender, but decreases damage to 0.75× against the opposite gender — that's the one you want on Litleo. Moxie is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Unnerve works too if your team needs something different.
Base 72 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Litleo is a special attacker with base 73 Sp. Atk.
