Genesect Black 2 & White 2 Guide
For the Black 2 & White 2 meta, At 600 BST, Genesect is built different. We rank it S-Tier. As a Mythical Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as a wallbreaker. U Turn with Choice Scarf is the standard set.
Download raises the attack stat corresponding to the opponents' weaker defense one stage upon entering battle. That's the one you want on Genesect. It's the only ability Genesect has.
Base 99 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Genesect is a mixed attacker with base 120 Attack and 120 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
For Black 2 & White 2, Genesect has answers, but so do you. Status moves (Toxic, Will-O-Wisp) wear it down. Setup sweepers can use it as a boost opportunity. Physical attackers can break through.
Game Availability
Genesect first appeared in Black & White and has been available in 8 titles. Mythical distribution means event-only access in most games, making it one of the harder Pokemon to collect.
