Florges works as a tank with 552 BST behind it. A-Tier on our list: a strong competitive pick. That 154 base Sp. Def does the heavy lifting.
Watch for Roserade (Poison) and Scizor (Steel) when using Florges. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 2 weaknesses means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. Florges has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
Flower Veil protects friendly grass Pokémon from having their stats lowered by other Pokémon. That's the one you want on Florges. Symbiosis is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Florges is a special attacker with base 112 Sp. Atk. Tanky enough to absorb a few hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 75 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. Fits the tank role.
Florges has answers, but so do you. Status moves (Toxic, Will-O-Wisp) wear it down. Setup sweepers can use it as a boost opportunity. Physical attackers can break through.

Since X & Y, Florges has been obtainable in 6 games. A Generation 6 debut means a shorter history, but Florges has appeared steadily across every generation since.
