Ariados Evolutions

How to Evolve
Breeding
Breed with Ariados to get Spinarak eggs easily using 77 partners from the Bug egg group. Notable egg moves include Baton Pass, Disable, Electroweb and 10 more.

90 Attack at only 40 Speed with AbilitySwarm boosting Bug at low HP and AbilitySniper tripling critical hit damage as a hidden ability. MoveSticky Web slows everything that switches in. But the moveset acts dead last and 70/70 bulk cannot survive to set up. Sticky Web is the only contribution.

Every night, it wanders around in search of prey, whose movements it restrains by spewing threads before it bites into them with its fangs.
It spews threads from its mouth to catch its prey. When night falls, it leaves its web to go hunt aggressively.
Ariados Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Guide
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Ariados's biggest threats include Charizard (Fire), Aerodactyl (Flying), and Espeon (Psychic), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Rock-type attackers are also a problem. At base 40 Speed, Ariados won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Ariados can work for a story run. 400 BST is average, but Bug/Poison typing fills a niche depending on your team composition.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Ariados has a 400 base stat total and ranks as C-Tier: a niche pick in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon's meta. It works best as a trick room. Sticky Web with Focus Sash is the standard set.
Swarm is the go-to ability for Ariados. It strengthens bug moves to inflict 1.5× damage at 1/3 max HP or less. Its hidden ability Sniper can work in specific setups. Insomnia is the other option. Pick based on what your team needs.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Ariados fills the trick room role. It's a physical attacker with base 90 Attack. Base 40 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. And it's enough bulk to take a hit or two.
