Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Mass Outbreaks

Mass Outbreaks are special events that occur randomly throughout your game. They can be found by looking for the ? on your map if you have never encountered the pokemon species before. When approached, a notification will appear telling you that a Mass Outbreak has started and listing which Pokémon is currently spawning in it. You will then have to defeat or capture all of the Pokémon in the area before the Outbreak ends, usually after around 100-120 Pokémon have been defeated.

In addition to the increased chance of encountering rare or powerful Pokémon, Mass Outbreaks also feature increased chances of being Shiny. Once between 20 and 30 Pokémon are defeated or captured, you will have an additional roll at a chance of being Shiny.

Shiny Pokemon Picnic Exploit

You can exploit the game's Picnic mechanic to reset the Mass Outbreak. You simply need to setup a picnic near the mass outbreak and then leave the picnic, after that the Mass Outbreak will be reset with a chance of it having a Shiny Variant.
