Timburr sits at the start of its evolution line — not yet at full power, but that changes fast. Most trainers push through to Conkeldurr as fast as possible. Only weak to Flying, Psychic, and Fairy. Known as the Muscular Pokemon.

Attack and HP carry most of Timburr's stat budget. Sp. Atk's the obvious dump stat. Common in the wild and yields 1 Attack EV. Follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.

It loves helping out with construction projects. It loves it so much that if rain causes work to halt, it swings its log around and throws a tantrum.

Egg moves make a real difference. Timburr gets Counter and Defog exclusively through breeding, filling gaps that TMs and level-up can't touch. Coverage across 9 types rounds out the picture alongside Focus Punch and Superpower.

CHALLENGING
  • Timburr is meant to evolve into Gurdurr. At 305 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.

  • Timburr's biggest threats include Salamence (Flying), Gardevoir (Psychic), and Clefable (Fairy), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. At base 35 Speed, Timburr won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.

  • Timburr evolves into Gurdurr at level 25. Timburr is the base form in a 3-stage evolutionary line.

  • Sheer Force is what you want on Timburr. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Guts, Iron Fist) work on paper but Sheer Force is what makes Timburr worth using.

  • Base 35 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Timburr is a physical attacker with base 80 Attack. Defensively? Fragile — can't afford to take many hits. Best used as a trick room.

  • Timburr appears in 8 games, including Black & White, Black 2 & White 2, and X & Y.

Timburr joined the series in Black & White and has been available in 8 titles so far. With 5 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
