Sudowoodo Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Guide
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, watch for Starmie (Water), Venusaur (Grass), and Hitmonlee (Fighting) when using Sudowoodo. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Ground and Steel-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. At base 30 Speed, Sudowoodo won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
For Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, it depends on your team. Sudowoodo at 410 BST isn't a powerhouse, but the Rock coverage might be exactly what you're missing.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Sudowoodo works as an attacker with 410 BST behind it. C-Tier on our list: a niche pick in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon's meta. Sucker Punch with Rocky Helmet is the standard set.
Sturdy prevents being KOed from full HP, leaving 1 HP instead. That's the one you want on Sudowoodo. Rattled is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Rock Head works too if your team needs something different.
Sudowoodo is a physical attacker with base 100 Attack. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 30 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. Fits the attacker role.
