While most trainers evolve Dwebble into Crustle immediately, the unevolved form has a niche with Eviolite boosting its defenses. Only weak to Water, Rock, and Steel. Known as the Rock Inn Pokemon. The stat spread favors raw physical power.

Nothing fancy in Dwebble's spread. It leans physical with Defense out front. And you'll get 1 Defense EV per KO for it. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.

Pokedex Entries

When it finds a stone appealing, it creates a hole inside it and uses it as its home. This Pokémon is the natural enemy of Roggenrola and Rolycoly.

Sword

It first tries to find a rock to live in, but if there are no suitable rocks to be found, Dwebble may move in to the ports of a Hippowdon.

Shield

Dwebble Weakness

Vulnerable

Water, Rock, and Steel-type moves hit Dwebble for super-effective damage. Dwebble's physical bulk (base 85 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.

Without breeding, Dwebble misses out on Block and Counter. That's 10 egg moves adding depth that the base kit lacks. STAB comes from Rock Wrecker and Stone Edge, with coverage across 8 types rounding things out.

Dwebble can't be caught in Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon. Bring it over from Black, Black 2, or Sword instead. The encounter info below covers the source games.

Dwebble is not available as a wild encounter in this game.

Also found in:

  • At 325 BST, Dwebble is firmly in pre-evolution territory. Evolve it into Crustle before bringing it to any serious fight.

  • Watch for Starmie (Water), Rhyperior (Rock), and Ferrothorn (Steel) when using Dwebble. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB.

  • Dwebble evolves into Crustle at level 34. Dwebble is the base form of this evolutionary line.

  • Sturdy prevents being KOed from full HP, leaving 1 HP instead — that's the one you want on Dwebble. Weak Armor is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Shell Armor works too if your team needs something different.

  • Dwebble is a physical attacker with base 65 Attack. But the speed tells the real story — at base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often.

  • Dwebble appears in 7 games, including Black & White, Black 2 & White 2, and X & Y.

Since Black & White, Dwebble has been obtainable in 7 games. A Generation 5 debut means a shorter history, but Dwebble has appeared steadily across every generation since.
