Staraptor Weakness
Type-wise, Staraptor takes extra damage from Electric, Ice, and Rock. Ground and Ghost moves do nothing thanks to a full immunity. Staraptor leans offensive (base 120 Atk) rather than trying to tank its weaknesses.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Electric, Ice, Rock |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Grass, Bug |
| 0x (Immune) | Ground, Ghost |
- Fairy type does not exist — Dragon has fewer checks
- Physical / Special split now per-move (introduced Gen IV)

Staraptor Black 2 & White 2 Guide
In Black 2 & White 2, Staraptor looks average on paper at 485 BST. But Intimidate is why it sees play. Build around that and it pulls its weight. B-Tier sweeper on our tier list. Bravebird with Choice Scarf is the standard set.
Staraptor gets Intimidate and Reckless. But Intimidate is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that. With base 100 Speed, Intimidate gives Staraptor an edge before opponents can react.
Staraptor is a physical attacker with base 120 Attack. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 100 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. Fits the sweeper role.
For Black 2 & White 2, the core moveset is Bravebird, Close Combat, U Turn, and Double Edge. Bravebird leads at 0% usage. This set covers the sweeper role with a mix of damage and utility.
