Pignite Black 2 & White 2 Guide
Pignite is meant to evolve into Emboar. At 418 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.
In Black 2 & White 2, watch for Milotic (Water), Swampert (Ground), and Aerodactyl (Flying) when using Pignite. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Psychic-type attackers are also a problem.
Thick Fat is what you want on Pignite. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Blaze) work on paper but Thick Fat is what makes Pignite worth using.
In Black 2 & White 2, Pignite's hidden ability is Thick Fat. Halves damage from fire and ice moves. Better than the standard options for competitive play.
At base 55 Speed, it won't be moving first often. On offense, Pignite is a mixed attacker with base 93 Attack and 70 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two.
Game Availability
Pignite joined the series in Black & White and has been available in 8 titles so far. With 6 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
