While most trainers evolve Natu into Xatu immediately, the unevolved form has a niche with Eviolite boosting its defenses. Ground moves can't touch it, which offsets the 5 weaknesses somewhat. Known as the Tiny Bird Pokemon. Can go either physical or special depending on the set.
Natu's spread isn't flashy. Sp. Atk leads, HP trails, 0 stats clear the bar. Common in the wild and worth 1 Sp. Atk EV, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Because its wings aren’t yet fully grown, it has to hop to get around. It is always staring at something.
It usually forages for food on the ground but may, on rare occasions, hop onto branches to peck at shoots.
Natu Weakness
AvgElectric, Ice, Rock, Ghost, and Dark-type moves hit Natu for super-effective damage. The upside? Ground-type moves can't touch it at all.

Natu evolves into Xatu. It's a two-stage chain with the method shown below. A decent partner pool for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. The evolved forms gain up to 150 total stats over Natu.
Breed Natu easily with 19 breeding partners from the Flying egg group. Pass egg moves like Drill Peck, Feint Attack, Haze and 2 more to offspring.

Don't skip the egg moves. Natu picks up Drill Peck and Feint Attack only through breeding, and both fill gaps the natural movepool can't. STAB runs through Future Sight and Dream Eater while Ghost and Normal coverage and more adds range.

Natu isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Xatu to unlock its full potential. At 320 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.

Natu fills the balanced role. It's a special attacker with base 70 Sp. Atk. Base 70 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. And it's fragile — can't afford to take many hits.
