While most trainers evolve Natu into Xatu immediately, the unevolved form has a niche with Eviolite boosting its defenses. Ground moves can't touch it, which offsets the 5 weaknesses somewhat. Known as the Tiny Bird Pokemon. Can go either physical or special depending on the set.
Natu's spread isn't flashy. Sp. Atk leads, HP trails, 0 stats clear the bar. Common in the wild and worth 1 Sp. Atk EV, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
It picks food from cactus plants, deftly avoiding buds and spines. It seems to skip about to move.
Natu Weakness
AvgElectric, Ice, Rock, Ghost, and Dark-type moves hit Natu for super-effective damage. The upside? Ground-type moves can't touch it at all.
Natu evolves into Xatu. It's a two-stage chain with the method shown below. No compatible partners for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. The evolved forms gain up to 150 total stats over Natu.
Breed Natu easily from the Flying egg group. Pass egg moves like Ally Switch, Drill Peck, Feather Dance and 11 more to offspring.
Don't let the NFE status fool you. Natu with Eviolite hits bulk numbers that compete with final forms. HP-heavy investment EVs and Hardy nature maximize that, and Magic Bounce handles the rest. Roost patches up chip damage.
