While most trainers evolve Natu into Xatu immediately, the unevolved form has a niche with Eviolite boosting its defenses. Ground moves can't touch it, which offsets the 5 weaknesses somewhat. Known as the Tiny Bird Pokemon. Can go either physical or special depending on the set.
Natu's spread isn't flashy. Sp. Atk leads, HP trails, 0 stats clear the bar. Common in the wild and worth 1 Sp. Atk EV, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Natu cannot fly because its wings are not yet fully grown. If your eyes meet with this Pokémon’s eyes, it will stare back intently at you. But if you move even slightly, it will hop away to safety.
Natu has a highly developed jumping ability. The Pokémon flaps and leaps onto tree branches that are taller than grown-up people to pick at the tree’s new shoots.
Natu Weakness
AvgElectric, Ice, Rock, Ghost, and Dark-type moves hit Natu for super-effective damage. The upside? Ground-type moves can't touch it at all.
Natu evolves into Xatu. It's a two-stage chain with the method shown below. No compatible partners for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. The evolved forms gain up to 150 total stats over Natu.
Breed Natu easily from the Flying egg group. Pass egg moves like Ally Switch, Drill Peck, Feather Dance and 11 more to offspring.

Don't skip the egg moves. Natu picks up Ally Switch and Drill Peck only through breeding, and both fill gaps the natural movepool can't. STAB runs through Sky Attack and Future Sight while coverage across 9 types adds range.

Natu isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Xatu to unlock its full potential. At 320 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
Natu evolves into Xatu at level 25. Natu is the base form of this evolutionary line.
Run Magic Bounce on Natu. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Natu also gets Synchronize and Early Bird, but they don't compare.
Natu fills the balanced role. It's a special attacker with base 70 Sp. Atk. Base 70 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. And it's fragile — can't afford to take many hits.
