Nothing fancy in Leavanny's spread. It leans physical with Attack out front. And you'll get 3 Attack EVs per KO for it. Follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
Upon finding a small Pokémon, it weaves clothing for it from leaves by using the sticky silk secreted from its mouth.
It keeps its eggs warm with heat from fermenting leaves. It also uses leaves to make warm wrappings for Sewaddle.
Type-wise, Leavanny takes extra damage from Fire, Flying, Ice, Poison, Bug, and Rock. Watch out for Fire and Flying attacks, those deal 4x damage. The Bug/Grass typing picks up 5 resistances to work with.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 4x (Critical) | Fire, Flying |
| 2x (Weak) | Ice, Poison, Bug, Rock |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Water, Electric, Fighting |
| 0.25x (Resist) | Grass, Ground |
Tyranitar threatens a KO with Stone Edge (228-268%). Volcarona's Heat Wave also KOs at 249-293%.

The three-stage chain from Sewaddle through Swadloon ends here at Leavanny. Want more? Breed for Sewaddle eggs. Plenty of partners available via one egg group. The evolution from Sewaddle pushed Leavanny to 500 total stats. Attack saw the largest single gain at +50. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
The Sash lets Leavanny ignore defensive shortcomings for one turn. Use that turn to get Sticky Web up, and Swarm squeezes extra value from the position. Max Attack and Speed EVs push damage output.

Moves
Most of Leavanny's flexibility comes from TMs. Same-type output runs through Leaf Storm and Solar Beam, but Normal and Flying and the rest of the TM pool push it from predictable to genuinely threatening.

Breeding's the move. Agility and Air Slash give Leavanny options it can't learn any other way, and coverage across 8 types already covers a decent range on top of Leaf Storm and Solar Beam. The egg moves push it further.

Step 3Leavanny ✓
Leavanny looks average on paper at 500 BST. But Chlorophyll is why it sees play. Build around that and it pulls its weight. C-Tier pivot on our tier list.
Leavanny's biggest threats include Blaziken (Fire), Salamence (Flying), and Walrein (Ice), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Blaziken is the most dangerous since Fire moves deal 4x damage. Poison, Bug, and Rock-type attackers are also a problem. With 6 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter.
Leavanny gets Chlorophyll, Swarm, and Overcoat. But Chlorophyll is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
Leavanny is leaning toward the physical side (base 103 Attack). Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 92 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. Fits the pivot role.
The core moveset is Sticky Web, Knock Off, Tripleaxel, and Leafblade. Sticky Web leads at 20% usage. This set covers the pivot role with a mix of damage and utility.
Since Black & White, Leavanny has been obtainable in 7 games. A Generation 5 debut means a shorter history, but Leavanny has appeared steadily across every generation since.
