Almost nobody uses Gossifleur in battle. It exists to evolve into Eldegoss, which is a completely different story. Get it there and you won't regret it. Known as the Flowering Pokemon. Introduced in Gen 8.
Defense and Sp. Def carry most of Gossifleur's stat budget. Speed's the obvious dump stat. Common in the wild and yields 1 Sp. Def EV. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
It anchors itself in the ground with its single leg, then basks in the sun. After absorbing enough sunlight, its petals spread as it blooms brilliantly.
It whirls around in the wind while singing a joyous song. This delightful display has charmed many into raising this Pokémon.
Gossifleur Weakness
FragileFire, Ice, Poison, Flying, and Bug-type moves hit Gossifleur for super-effective damage. 4 resistances help offset the weaknesses. 5 weaknesses means you'll want teammates that can handle the coverage gaps.
One evolution ahead. Gossifleur grows into Eldegoss through a straightforward two-stage chain. A decent partner pool for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. The evolved forms gain up to 210 total stats over Gossifleur.
How to Evolve
Breed Gossifleur easily with 50 breeding partners from the Plant egg group. Pass egg moves like Growth, Leech Seed, Poison Powder and 3 more to offspring.

Without breeding, Gossifleur misses out on Growth and Leech Seed. That's 6 egg moves adding depth that the base kit lacks. STAB comes from Leaf Storm and Solar Beam, with Normal and Bug coverage rounding things out.

Gossifleur is meant to evolve into Eldegoss. At 250 BST, the stats aren't there for competitive play yet. Pre-evolution Pokemon rarely hold up against fully evolved threats.
Watch for Arcanine (Fire), Lapras (Ice), and Roserade (Poison) when using Gossifleur. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Flying and Bug-type attackers are also a problem. With 5 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. At base 10 Speed, Gossifleur won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
Gossifleur evolves into Eldegoss at level 20. Gossifleur is the base form of this evolutionary line.
Regenerator is what you want on Gossifleur. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. The alternatives (Cotton Down, Effect Spore) work on paper but Regenerator is what makes Gossifleur worth using.
Base 10 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. On offense, Gossifleur is leaning toward the physical side (base 40 Attack). Defensively? Fragile — can't afford to take many hits.
Gossifleur can be found in Sword & Shield.
Gossifleur joined the series in Sword & Shield and has been available in 1 titles so far. With 2 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
