Goomy sits at the start of its evolution line — not yet at full power, but that changes fast. Most trainers push through to Goodra as fast as possible. Known as the Soft Tissue Pokemon. Flexible enough to run physical or special sets.
Nothing fancy in Goomy's spread. It leans mixed with Sp. Def out front. And you'll get 1 Sp. Def EV per KO for it. Follows a slow 1.25M XP grind.
Most of a Goomy’s body is water. A membrane covers the whole Pokémon to prevent it from shriveling up in dry weather.
Goomy’s horns are excellent sensory organs that cover all five of Goomy’s senses. Goomy picks up on danger from the movement of the air.

AvgGoomy is weak to Ice, Dragon, and Fairy-type moves. The Dragon typing picks up 4 resistances to work with. Sap Sipper grants an additional Grass immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Goomy's special bulk (base 75 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.
Goomy kicks off a three-stage evolution line through Sliggoo all the way to Goodra. For breeding, takes forever to hatch with plenty of partners via one egg group. Evolving adds up to 300 stat points total.
How to Evolve
Breed Goomy with 65 breeding partners from the Dragon egg group. Pass egg moves like Counter, Life Dew to offspring.
Sapsipper and Eviolite give Goomy staying power beyond its evolution stage. Modest nature boosts Sp. Atk, a spread EV build EVs set the spread, and the pre-evolution bulk actually works here.
