  • For Legends: Z-A, we rate Gholdengo S-Tier: one of the best picks in the Legends: Z-A meta. At 550 BST, it fits the wallbreaker role. Makeitrain with Life Orb is the standard set.

  • In Legends: Z-A, Gholdengo's biggest threats include Volcarona (Fire), Landorus (Ground), and Gengar (Ghost), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Dark-type attackers are also a problem.

  • Good As Gold is the go-to ability for Gholdengo. It gives immunity to status moves. It's Gholdengo's only ability.

  • Base 84 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Gholdengo is a special attacker with base 133 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.

  • In Legends: Z-A, the best way to handle Gholdengo: Status moves (Toxic, Will-O-Wisp) wear it down. Setup sweepers can use it as a boost opportunity. Physical attackers can break through.
