Deoxys Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Guide
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Deoxys is a Mythical Pokemon rated A-Tier. At 600 BST, it hits hard. It excels as a sweeper. Psychoboost with Focus Sash is the standard set.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, Deoxys's biggest threats include Heracross (Bug), Misdreavus (Ghost), and Houndoom (Dark), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Deoxys's base 150 Speed lets it outpace many threats and strike first, which matters more than trying to tank hits.
Pressure is the go-to ability for Deoxys. It increases the PP cost of moves targetting the Pokémon by one. It's Deoxys's only ability.
Deoxys is a mixed attacker with base 150 Attack and 150 Sp. Atk. Fragile, can't afford to take many hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 150 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. Fits the sweeper role.
In Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, the best way to handle Deoxys: Priority moves (Mach Punch, Aqua Jet, Ice Shard) bypass its speed. Bulky walls that resist its STAB also shut it down.
