What separates Cetitan from the pack is Slush Rush — it doubles its Speed in snow. Combine that with Ice typing and it needs some investment to avoid getting outsped. The stat spread favors raw physical power. One of the newer additions from Gen 9.

Cetitan's spread is anchored by HP, with balanced defenses backing it up. Sp. Atk is the clear weak point. Worth 2 HP EVs per KO, and the 1.06M XP medium-slow curve keeps leveling painless.

This Pokémon wanders around snowy, icy areas. It protects its body with powerful muscles and a thick layer of fat under its skin.

Scarlet

Ice energy builds up in the horn on its upper jaw, causing the horn to reach cryogenic temperatures that freeze its surroundings.

Cetitan Weakness

Fragile

Cetitan's Ice typing leaves it vulnerable to Fire, Fighting, Rock, and Steel moves. Thick Fat reduces Fire/Ice damage, further improving the defensive spread. Cetitan's overall bulk (170/65/55) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.

Cetitan doesn't evolve through normal leveling. You'll need an evolution item to get here from Cetoddle's line. Breed this form to get Cetoddle eggs (average hatch time). Evolving from Cetoddle gave Cetitan the biggest boost in HP (+62), bringing the total to 521 stats.

Slushrush isn't flashy, but it matters. Combined with Sitrus Berry for a one-time health recovery at low HP and max Attack and Speed EVs, Cetitan fills the physical attacker slot reliably. Adamant nature finishes the spread.

The natural movepool does the job, but Belly Drum and Entrainment from the egg pool give Cetitan something extra. Pair those with Blizzard and Ice Beam for STAB and coverage across 8 types for reach, and the kit fills out nicely.

Cetitan sits at low spawn rates across 10 spots in late-game routes. Pick one from the sorted list and commit to it. Jumping between areas wastes more time than waiting in the right location.

or evolve from Cetoddle (Step 1)
  • Don't let Cetitan's 521 base stat total fool you. Slush Rush is what makes it tick — it punches way above its weight class. We rate it B-Tier as a tank.

  • Watch for Infernape (Fire), Conkeldurr (Fighting), and Lycanroc (Rock) when using Cetitan. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Steel-type attackers are also a problem.

  • Cetoddle evolves into Cetitan using a Ice Stone. Cetitan is the fully evolved form. At 521 BST, it's got solid stats to work with.

  • Run Slush Rush on Cetitan. It's the ability that defines how you build around it and the main reason it holds a competitive niche. Cetitan also gets Thick Fat and Sheer Force, but they don't compare.

  • Cetitan fills the tank role. It's a physical attacker with base 113 Attack. Base 73 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. And it's tanky enough to absorb a few hits.

  • Cetitan can be found in Scarlet & Violet.

Introduced in Scarlet & Violet, Cetitan has appeared in 1 games across 1 generation. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
