You won't find a real weakness in Celebi's stat line. It's well-rounded for the Time Travel Pokemon, and what it does with that depends on moveset and items. Yields 3 HP EVs, on a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
It has the power to travel across time, but it is said to appear only in peaceful times.
It has the power to travel across time, but it is said to appear only in peaceful times.
Celebi's Psychic/Grass typing leaves it vulnerable to Bug, Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Ghost, and Dark. Bug hits land at 4x, so they're the biggest threat. It resists 6 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely. Celebi's overall bulk (100/100/100) lets it take a hit or two from most weaknesses before going down.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 4x (Critical) | Bug |
| 2x (Weak) | Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Ghost, Dark |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Water, Electric, Grass, Fighting, Ground, Psychic |
Volcarona can KO Celebi with Heat Wave (88-104%). Volcanion's Flamethrower also KOs at 95-112%.

A Psychic/Grass-type mythical at 600 base stats, Celebi can't breed or evolve. Event distribution is the standard way to obtain one. View every chain in the Evolution Chart.
How to Evolve
Breeding
Groundiumz buys the setup turn. Celebi clicks Nasty Plot, then starts cleaning with Psychic and the remaining moves. Timid nature with max Sp. Atk and Speed EVs makes sure nothing tanks a boosted hit comfortably.

Moves
The level-up pool is slim, so TMs matter here. Celebi's coverage across 9 types all comes from technical machines, built on top of Leaf Storm and Future Sight for same-type damage. Future Sight and Leaf Storm are the payoff moves.

STAB runs through Leaf Storm and Future Sight for the basics, but Celebi's real strength is the 10-type coverage spread. Rock and Normal hit common defensive types, and the movepool keeps going.

At 600 BST, Celebi is built different. We rank it C-Tier. As a Mythical Pokemon, the raw stats back up the reputation. Best used as a sweeper.
Watch for Scizor (Bug), Arcanine (Fire), and Lapras (Ice) when using Celebi. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Scizor is the most dangerous since Bug moves deal 4x damage. Poison, Flying, Ghost, and Dark-type attackers are also a problem. With 7 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. Celebi has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
Celebi gets Natural Cure. But Natural Cure is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that. With base 100 Speed, Natural Cure gives Celebi an edge before opponents can react.
Celebi is a special attacker with base 100 Sp. Atk. Tanky enough to absorb a few hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 100 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. Fits the sweeper role.
Run Earthpower, Nasty Plot, Psychic, and Hiddenpowerfire on Celebi. Earthpower is the most common pick at 22% usage. Psychic provides reliable STAB damage.
Introduced in Gold & Silver, Celebi shows up in 16 games across 9 generations. Mythical status keeps it locked behind events or specific story content in most appearances.
