Stats & Training
Bellossom's built to absorb hits, not race for knockouts. Balanced defenses with Sp. Def doing the heavy lifting. And the 1.06M XP medium-slow curve means it won't take forever to bring up, worth 3 Sp. Def EVs.
Plentiful in the tropics. When it dances, its petals rub together and make a pleasant ringing sound.
Bellossom gather at times and appear to dance. They say that the dance is a ritual to summon the sun.
Bellossom Weakness
Type-wise, Bellossom takes extra damage from Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, and Bug. The Grass typing picks up 4 resistances to work with.
| Damage | Types |
|---|---|
| 2x (Weak) | Fire, Ice, Poison, Flying, Bug |
| 0.5x (Resist) | Water, Electric, Grass, Ground |
In Sword & Shield, Celesteela deals 81-96% with Air Slash.

Bellossom Guide
In Sword & Shield, Bellossom looks average on paper at 490 BST. But Chlorophyll is why it sees play. Build around that and it pulls its weight. C-Tier on our tier list. Quiver Dance with Bigroot is the standard set.
Bellossom gets Chlorophyll and Healer. But Chlorophyll is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that.
Bellossom is a special attacker with base 90 Sp. Atk. Enough bulk to take a hit or two, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 50 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go.
For Sword & Shield, the core moveset is Quiver Dance, Giga Drain, Strengthsap, and Moonblast. Quiver Dance leads at 25% usage. This set covers the balanced role with a mix of damage and utility.
Game Availability
Since Gold & Silver, Bellossom has been in 18 games. Requiring an item-based evolution to obtain means it's consistently available but requires more effort than simply catching it in the wild.
