Trumbeak sits in the middle of its evolution line — stronger than Pikipek but not yet at full power. Most trainers push through to Toucannon as fast as possible. Ground and Ghost moves can't touch it, and only 3 types hit it super-effectively. Known as the Bugle Beak Pokemon.
Trumbeak's built around physical offense. Attack leads the charge, Sp. Atk pays for it. Common in the wild, worth 2 Attack EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
It eats berries and stores their seeds in its beak. When it encounters enemies or prey, it fires off all the seeds in a burst.
By bending its beak, it can produce a variety of calls and brand itself a noisy nuisance for its neighbors.
Trumbeak Weakness
GoodTrumbeak is weak to Electric, Ice, and Rock-type moves. On the flip side, it's immune to Ground and Ghost-type moves entirely.
Trumbeak is the middle stage between Pikipek and Toucannon. It's a three-stage line with one more evolution to go. For breeding, quick to hatch with no compatible partners via one egg group. HP has grown the most so far (+20), but there's still another 130 stats to gain in the final evolution.
How to Evolve
Breed with Trumbeak to get Pikipek eggs easily from the Flying egg group. Notable egg moves include Boomburst, Brave Bird, Mirror Move and 2 more.
Keeneye and Eviolite give Trumbeak staying power beyond its evolution stage. Adamant nature boosts Attack, max HP and Sp. Def EVs set the spread, and the pre-evolution bulk actually works here. Roost patches up chip damage.

Trumbeak isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Toucannon to unlock its full potential. At 355 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
Keen Eye is the go-to ability for Trumbeak. It prevents accuracy from being lowered. Its hidden ability Pickup can work in specific setups. Skill Link is the other option — pick based on what your team needs.
Trumbeak fills the balanced role. It's a special attacker with base 40 Sp. Atk. Base 75 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. And it's fragile — can't afford to take many hits.
Trumbeak can be found in Scarlet & Violet, Sun & Moon, and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.
Introduced in Sun & Moon, Trumbeak has appeared in 3 games across 3 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
