Almost nobody uses Skwovet in battle. It exists to evolve into Greedent, which is a completely different story. Get it there and you won't regret it. Known as the Cheeky Pokemon. One of the newer additions from Gen 8.
Skwovet's spread isn't flashy. HP leads, Speed trails, 0 stats clear the bar. Easy to catch and worth 1 HP EV, on a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
Found throughout the Galar region, this Pokémon becomes uneasy if its cheeks are ever completely empty of berries.
It eats berries nonstop—a habit that has made it more resilient than it looks. It’ll show up on farms, searching for yet more berries.
Skwovet Weakness
GoodSkwovet's Normal typing leaves it vulnerable to Fighting moves. It shrugs off Ghost-type attacks completely. Only 1 weakness makes it relatively easy to build around defensively.
Skwovet evolves into Greedent. It's a two-stage chain with the method shown below. A massive partner pool for breeding via one egg group. Eggs are average hatch time. The evolved forms gain up to 185 total stats over Skwovet.
How to Evolve
Breed Skwovet easily with 138 breeding partners from the Ground egg group. Pass egg moves like Belly Drum, Defense Curl, Last Resort and 1 more to offspring.

You'll want to breed for Belly Drum and Defense Curl on Skwovet. These egg moves aren't just nice to have. Combined with STAB from Last Resort and Hyper Voice, they expand what Skwovet can actually threaten in practice.

Skwovet isn't fully evolved, so it's not built for competitive play. You'll want to evolve it into Greedent to unlock its full potential. At 275 BST, it's a stepping stone rather than a team anchor.
Watch for Lucario (Fighting) when using Skwovet. They all hit it super-effectively with STAB. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about. At base 25 Speed, Skwovet won't outrun any of these threats so switching to a resist is usually the safer play.
Skwovet evolves into Greedent at level 24. Skwovet is the base form of this evolutionary line.
Cheek Pouch restores HP upon eating a Berry, in addition to the Berry's effect — that's the one you want on Skwovet. Gluttony is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses.
Skwovet fills the balanced role. It's a physical attacker with base 55 Attack. Base 25 Speed is low. Priority moves or Trick Room are the way to go. And it's fragile — can't afford to take many hits.
Skwovet can be found in Scarlet & Violet and Sword & Shield.
Introduced in Sword & Shield, Skwovet has appeared in 2 games across 2 generations. Later debuts mean fewer total appearances, but it's been a consistent presence since its introduction.
