Let's Go limits the roster to the original 151 Kanto Pokemon plus Alolan forms and Meltan. No abilities, no held items, and wild battles are replaced with Pokemon GO catching mechanics. Your partner Pikachu or Eevee has boosted stats and exclusive multi-type moves. AVs from candy can push any Pokemon's stats higher.

  • 153. The original 151 Kanto Pokemon plus Meltan and Melmetal. Alolan forms are available through in-game trades. No Gen 2+ Pokemon beyond Meltan's line.

  • Wild Pokemon appear in the overworld (no random encounters). You catch them using motion controls or button presses, Pokemon GO style, without battling. Abilities and held items don't exist. Candy boosts AVs (a stat system separate from IVs and EVs). Your partner Pikachu or Eevee can't evolve but has boosted stats and exclusive moves.

  • Partner Eevee is stronger than Partner Pikachu. Eevee gets exclusive moves covering 8 types (Water, Fire, Electric, Psychic, Dark, Fairy, Grass, Ice) while Pikachu only covers 3 (Electric, Water, Flying). Both have boosted stats that outclass everything else in the game. Version exclusives are minor beyond the partner.

  • Yes. You can send Gen 1 Pokemon from Pokemon GO to Let's Go via the GO Park in Fuchsia City. Alolan forms transfer too. Transferred Pokemon need to be recaught in the GO Park. Meltan only appears in Pokemon GO after making a transfer.

  • Technically Gen 7, but it's a side entry. Nintendo Switch, 2018. Let's Go reimagines Yellow with Pokemon GO catching, co-op play, and stripped-down mechanics. Not considered a traditional mainline game by most fans. Kanto region, 151 roster plus Meltan.

  • Yes. Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Alakazam, Gengar, Kangaskhan, Pinsir, Gyarados, Aerodactyl, and both Mewtwo forms can Mega Evolve. Mega Stones are obtained postgame.
