Manectric X & Y Guide
In X & Y, Intimidate changes the entire equation for Manectric. The 575 BST doesn't tell the full story. Ranked B-Tier as a sweeper. Volt Switch with Choice Specs is the standard set.
In X & Y, Manectric can Mega Evolve into Mega Manectric. That's 675 BST, up from 575. The stat redistribution often changes its best role. Mega Stone required, one per battle.
In X & Y, Manectric's biggest threats include Rhydon (Ground), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Only 1 weakness means fewer dedicated counters to worry about.
Intimidate is what you want on Manectric. Every competitive set worth running is built with that ability in mind. With base 135 Speed, Intimidate gives Manectric an edge before opponents can react.
Base 135 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. On offense, Manectric is a special attacker with base 135 Sp. Atk. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a sweeper.
