Stats & Training
Attack and HP carry most of Lycanroc's stat budget. Sp. Atk's the obvious dump stat. Moderately hard to find and yields 2 Attack EVs. Follows a medium-fast 1M XP curve.
This form of Lycanroc is normally calm and quiet. Once a battle begins, however, this Pokémon displays a ferocious fighting spirit.
These Pokémon have both calm and ferocious qualities. Their temperamental nature makes them a difficult species to raise.

Lycanroc Guide
For Sword & Shield, we rate Lycanroc C-Tier: a niche pick in Sword & Shield's meta. At 487 BST, it fits the wallbreaker role. Accelerock with Life Orb is the standard set.
Keen Eye prevents accuracy from being lowered. That's the one you want on Lycanroc. No Guard is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Vital Spirit works too if your team needs something different.
Base 82 Speed is workable. Faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Lycanroc is a physical attacker with base 115 Attack. Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as a wallbreaker.
In Sword & Shield, run Accelerock, Stone Edge, Close Combat, and Swords Dance on Lycanroc. Accelerock is the most common pick at 23% usage. This set covers the wallbreaker role with a mix of damage and utility.
