Latias Weakness
Latias is weak to Ice, Bug, Ghost, Dragon, Dark, and Fairy. It resists 6 types, so it can switch into a lot of moves safely. Levitate grants an additional Ground immunity, reshaping the matchup chart. Latias's special bulk (base 150 Sp.Def) helps absorb special-type weaknesses, though physical moves exploit the lower Defense.

XY Latias Best Moveset
Dragon/Psychic gained Fairy weakness, but 130 Sp. Def at 110 Speed still absorbs special attacks fast. AbilityLevitate removes Ground weakness. The Mega form in later Gen 6 games pushes bulk further. The moveset maintained S-tier because the speed and special bulk survived the new vulnerability.

Moves List
Most of Latias's flexibility comes from TMs. Same-type output runs through Draco Meteor and Dream Eater, but Flying and Ground and the rest of the TM pool push it from predictable to genuinely threatening.

Latias X & Y Guide
In X & Y, Latias is a Legendary Pokemon rated S-Tier. At 700 BST, it hits hard. It excels as a sweeper. Defog with Colbur Berry is the standard set.
In X & Y, yes. Mega Latias is the evolved form, sitting at 800 BST. Big power spike over base Latias (700). Equip the Mega Stone and it transforms in battle.
In X & Y, Latias's biggest threats include Walrein (Ice), Pinsir (Bug), and Gengar (Ghost), all carrying super-effective STAB moves. Dragon, Dark, and Fairy-type attackers are also a problem. With 6 weakness types, most competitive teams carry at least one counter. Latias has enough bulk to absorb a hit, but don't push the matchup. Pivot to a teammate that resists.
Latias gets Levitate. But Levitate is the one that matters. It's the centerpiece of every viable set. Build around that. With base 110 Speed, Levitate gives Latias an edge before opponents can react.
Latias is a special attacker with base 140 Sp. Atk. Tanky enough to absorb a few hits, too. Speed tells the real story. Base 110 Speed lets it outrun most of the field. Fits the sweeper role.
