Poison moves don't affect Klinklang at all — that's the advantage of Steel typing. It sits at a decent but contested Speed tier. Introduced in Gen 5. Known as the Gear Pokemon.
Defense and Attack carry most of Klinklang's stat budget. HP's the obvious dump stat. Tough to catch and yields 3 Defense EVs. Follows a 1.06M XP medium-slow curve.
From its spikes, it launches powerful blasts of electricity. Its red core contains an enormous amount of energy.
The three gears that compose this Pokémon spin at high speed. Its new spiked gear isn’t a living creature.
Klinklang Weakness
ExcellentFire, Fighting, and Ground-type moves hit Klinklang for super-effective damage. The upside? Poison-type moves can't touch it at all. With 10 resistances, the defensive profile is strong. Klinklang's physical bulk (base 115 Def) helps cushion physical weakness hits, but special attackers are the bigger threat.
End of the line. Klinklang caps a three-stage chain that started at Klink. Breeding produces the base form, and eggs are average hatch time. Speed grew the most through evolution (+60 over Klink), and Klinklang peaks at 520 total stats.
How to Evolve
Breed with Klinklang to get Klink eggs (with patience) using 60 partners from the Mineral egg group.
The recommended build leans into Klinklang's strengths as a physical attacker. Air Balloon provides temporary Ground immunity, and max Attack and Speed EVs back that up. Clearbody rounds out the package.

Recommended Teammates
Leveling does the heavy lifting. Klinklang picks up Zap Cannon and Hyper Beam along the way, building toward a complete offensive set. TMs add Normal and Electric coverage and more, but the foundation's already strong by then.

We rate Klinklang S-Tier — one of the best competitive options available. At 520 BST, it fits the attacker role. Base 115 Defense stands out.
Plus increases Special Attack to 1.5× when a friendly Pokémon has plus or minus — that's the one you want on Klinklang. Clear Body is the hidden ability. Niche, but it has its uses. Minus works too if your team needs something different.
Base 90 Speed is workable — faster than some, slower than many. On offense, Klinklang is leaning toward the physical side (base 100 Attack). Defensively? Enough bulk to take a hit or two. Best used as an attacker.
Klinklang appears in 7 games, including Black & White, Black 2 & White 2, and X & Y.
Klinklang joined the series in Black & White and has been available in 7 titles so far. With 5 generations of appearances, it's established itself despite the later start.
